Panic attacks away from home
  • Avoid input
  • Kneel down in fetus position (especially if dizzy)
  • Cover/close eyes
  • Cover ears/music (avoid input)
  • Breathing control
  • Dissociation


Panic attacks at home
  • Lay down (especially if dizzy)
  • Breathing control
  • Dissociation
  • Untie stomach knots on knees and elbows.


When in control
  • Leave everything as is an get to your safe spot safely.
  • Eat and drink something as soon as possible (blood sugar)
  • Find a distraction of choice (music, movie)
  • Try to sleep (panic attacks drains your energy)
